Introduction
The center is staffed by licensed body work, energy work, and other professionals under the direction
of Michael Wohlfarth, ISS Shin Tai Instructor, Graduate of Ohashi Institute, and Certified Reiki Master.
Michael is certified in Maryland with 10 years of experience in assessing and treating individuals with
a variety of health and life concerns, specializing in mind-body concerns and the effects of trauma.
Shiatsu Shin Tai is a protocol for life force recovery that combines elements of Shiatsu and Shin Tai
into a comprehensive therapy for body, mind, and spirit.
Life force recovery addresses the connection of a person's personal resources of their body, mind,
and spirit. The four most common treatment results are: an increase in will, clearer thinking, less
physical pain, and the ability to find more value in what you have already obtained in life. Unlike
traditional Shiatsu, Shiatsu Shin Tai synthesizes Eastern and Western healing concepts to restore
vitality, purpose, and spiritual growth.
Shin Tai means "source body", and addresses the body's subtle energy memory system to
heal the accumulated energetic effects of stress, trauma, and other conditions.
Using acupressure, structural correction, fascia release, joint articulation, and meridian balancing,
Shin Tai comprehensively treats the magnetic energy system (' Ki ' in Japanese theory) and makes the
appropriate corrections to the whole system, which facilitates transformation and balance. Shiatsu Shin
Tai is very gentle by nature, yet dramatic in effect. The practitioner may also use gentle stretching of
the limbs and rotation of the joints, to achieve the desired results.
